Hygiene Education Training

Water for South Sudan (WFSS) drills water wells in remote South Sudanese villages to help the people access clean water, while also providing hygiene education and sanitation programs. During the dry season (December-May) in the Bahr el Ghazal states necessitates closing the drilling season in May as the rains make many areas inaccessible and our trucks and equipment cannot risk getting stuck. To continue providing WASH services during this time, we provide hygiene education to communities and villages around Wau.

Host multiple-day training programs with select individuals from each target village to provide basic hygiene education that they can then share with others in their communities. We focus primarily on personal hygiene and water-borne diseases. Additionally, we utilize this time during the dry season to train other WFSS team members on our hygiene education program.
