Livelihoods and Food Security in Kachin
This project will improve the nutrition outcomes of conflict-affected people in Kachin State. The project will improve nutrition outcomes for women, adolescent girls and children under 2 years of age. This will be achieved through improving dietary practices, improving hygiene practices, improving assets, self-efficacy and decision-making power of women, and by improving access to nutritious foods. Given the local context, the activities will be conflict sensitive, contribute to gender equality and women’s empowerment, private sector engagement, improve community relations and advocate for the rights of the displaced. Particular focus will be given to mainstreaming disability, mental health and psychosocial services within the project design.
